Bruce Parkman, the founding partner, first visited San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico in 1987. He immediately saw the potential benefits of land ownership and began searching for ways to purchase land on the beautiful Sea of Cortez.

Not until after the advent of NAFTA and the change in the Mexican Laws of Foreign Investment occurred in December 1993 was there a more assured way to own property in Mexico. A visionary, Bruce formed (under the new laws) the first legal non-Mexican owned Real Estate Company in San Felipe.

Subsequently researching and finding a beautiful property on the Sea of Cortez in 1995, the birth of Parkstrong came about. Recognizing the need for straightforward direction for land ownership, the Company was formed with the intent of making the purchase of land through a Fideicomiso a reality and a more pleasant, safe, and secure experience for non-nationals.

Since 1996 Parkstrong has been in the subdivision process, making sure every "I" was dotted and every "T" was crossed. With the sub-division now completed and approved, the result is the new and exciting Resort and Retirement Community of PLAYA DE ORO nestled on the shore of the beautiful Sea of Cortez.

In 2000, Randy & Linda Bolster joined Bruce & Karen Parkman as Partners in Parkstrong U.S.A. LLC completing the team of professionals assembled to take this new and exciting company to its potential. Randy (an Electrical Engineer, formerly with Intel and Alcatel) and Linda (a Non-Profit Director) run the day-to-day operations of Parksrong USA in Spokane, WA., while Bruce and Karen live on site managing the Parkstrong Mexico operations.

Parkstrong is dedicated to making Playa de Oro's land the safest possible ownership and have achieved this through the purchase of Title Insurance on the entire subdivision! Going even one step further, they will also provide every lot owner a title insurance policy issued through First American Title Insurance Company.
